Beginning as a softball player, Wayne graduated to coach and has been coaching girls softball since 1985. He was an assistant coach on the Rug Rats women's team who won the National Title in 1988. He has served as an assistant at both Montgomery High School and Santa Rosa Junior College. Wayne was one of the original organizers of the Junior Olympic softball program in Sonoma County and the first coach for the Rug Rats Junior Olympic program. Wayne contines coaching both on the field as the Rug Rats 16u Head Coach and as a pitching coach. He is proud to have worked with many of the area's top pitchers.
